Every December, companies operating in the world of design, eagerly wait to hear whether any of their latest products have been singled out for Good Design Awards, awarded by a panel of experts from the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum Museum - Museum of Architecture and Design.
For the fifth time Smeg was selected alongside some prestigious brands on the international stage. Smeg was awarded a total of five winning products comprising it’s latest compact 45cm Linea oven, 110 cm range & 60cm Victoria, plus its new kettle and blender from it’s the small appliance collection, designed in collaboration with Matteo Bazzicalupo and Raffaella Mangiarotti from deepdesign © studio.
Following 5 Good Design awards also in 2014, in addition to this year’s recognition the company has also scooped further international design awards including the iF Design Award for its new 50’s style toaster and stand mixer, plus the Red Dot Design Award to the toaster, reaffirming just with how much high regard Smeg products are recognized by International panels – experts in their own fields who examine products from all points of view: technological innovation, quality, design and compliance with ecological principles.
The success of Smeg is attributed to the constant creativity and commitment to producing technology with style, where Smeg is once again recognized in its role of international excellence.
